The final round of the Kingsmill Championship Presented by JTBC was suspended at 7:59pm due to darkness Sunday evening. Play will resume at 7:00am Monday morning on Golf Channel.

Play was suspended for just over two hours Sunday afternoon due to weather and resumed at 5:53pm.

Minjee Lee took advantage of the delay to regain momentum after dropping a shot at the fourth, bouncing back with five birdies and an eagle to jump out to a four-stroke lead at 16-under par.

“I knew I was right there,” Minjee Lee said Sunday evening. “I still have some work to do tomorrow, but just kind of gave myself opportunities, played smart golf. I didn't do anything crazy. Just my putts seemed to drop.”

Minjee Lee teed off at the 16^th hole just as the horn blew for darkness. She chose to mark her ball on the fringe at the 16^th green rather than finishing the hole, telling Golf Channel after her round that her caddie told her she would be able to see the line more clearly after the green was freshly mowed in the morning. Minjee Lee will miss U.S. Women’s Open qualifying Monday in order to complete her round.

“Hopefully if I can get the win tomorrow then I won't have to go to the U.S. Open qualifying,” Minjee Lee said.

36-hole leader Alison Lee continued to hang around the top of the leaderboard Sunday, weathering not only the delay but also a nosebleed at the 9^th hole. Lee has suffered from ongoing nosebleeds throughout her life including one during the semifinals of the 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.

“I've had a nosebleed every day since I've been here,” Lee said. “Just happen to have gotten it on the course today. Thankfully it didn't last too long.”

She was tended to by medics on the course and was able to stop the bleeding at the 9^th green. She went on to make birdie on the next hole to get to 12-under par but sits four behind Minjee Lee with four holes to play.

“I know I'm going to have to play aggressively being four strokes behind Minjee,” Alison Lee said Sunday. “I know exactly what I have to do tomorrow if I want to take this. It's all up to me. It's me against the golf course. No matter when Minjee does, I just have to play my best.”

Alison Lee will continue her round Monday on the tee at the par 5, 15^th hole, but like Minjee Lee will also miss U.S. Women’s Open qualifying in Richmond, Virginia.

Paula Creamer got off to a tough start, making two bogeys and a birdie in her first three holes. She made two more birdies after the delay to move to 10-under par through 14 holes. She is T-3 with a group including Hoo Joo Kim, So Yeon Ryu, Perrine Delacour and Suzann Pettersen who completed her round just as the horn blew.
