Carlota Ciganda became eighth Rolex First-Time Winner of the 2016 season and had the Rolex Rankings Move of the Week moving up 14 spots to No. 23 with her outstanding play at the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship. Ciganda started the final round five shots back of leader Alison Lee and defeated her in a playoff with a birdie on the first extra hole to capture her first victory on the LPGA Tour.
“It means the world me. It's pretty nice to win here in Korea where women's golf is so big,” said Ciganda. “It's been a long journey, but at the same time, it's really nice to get the win. I love competing and playing and being an athlete. I couldn't ask for a better life.”

- Nelly Korda, a rookie on the Epson Tour, sits at No. 339 in the Women’s World Golf Rankings after starting the season ranked No. 1042. Korda played in 19 events on the Epson Tour this season with seven top-10 finishes including her first career win at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge. After finishing T-6 in the season-ending Epson Tour Championship Presented by IOA, she earned her LPGA Tour card for the 2017 season by coming in the 9th spot on the Volvik Race for the Card money list.
