A lot can change in 50 days.
Since April 27, which marked the 100 day countdown to the start of the Olympics, the make up of the 60 player field has changed considerably. Here’s a look at the biggest changes in the standings with just 50 days to go until the Summer Olympic Games get underway in Rio.
- Australia’s Karrie Webb has been replaced by Su Oh in the standings. Oh jumped 22 spots in the rankings following her play at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. She currently leads Webb by 13 spots in the Rolex Rankings.
- Chile’s Paz Echeverria is out and the country is no longer qualified in the current standings with Echeverria dropping to No.560 in the Rolex Rankings.
- Ireland’s Stephanie Meadow has dropped 29 spots in the Rolex Rankings to fall to No.474, falling off the team, leaving Leona Maguire as the only representative from Ireland.
- Italy’s Diana Luna has been replaced by Giulia Molinaro in the standings and is slated to represent her country alongside Giulia Sergas who leads the country’s standings.
- The Republic of Korea’s Ha Na Jang has dropped out of the top-four spots on the team and has been replaced by Amy Yang.
- Anne Van Dam has replaced the Netherlands’ Dewi Claire Schreefel in the standings. Christel Boeljon remains the highest ranked member of the team.
- Gerina Piller joins Lexi Thompson and Stacy Lewis as representatives for Team U.S.A. after moving to No.15 in the Rolex Rankings.
