Candie Kung, Michelle Wie, Beatriz Recari

Group 5 - 10:48 a.m. – 1^st Tee

Candie Kung, Michelle Wie and Beatriz Recari are grouped together in the opening round of the Lorena Ochoa Invitational. Kung, a four-time winner on Tour, is making her first start in Mexico since 2012 when she finished in a share of fourth. She will play alongside 2009 champion Michelle Wie who has consistently played well in Mexico where she hasn’t finished outside the top-15. She has played some of her best golf of the season in recent weeks including her first top-10 finish of the year at the Blue Bay LPGA. Recari is the final member of this group, making her first start in Mexico since 2013. She’s coming off a T-31 finish last week at the TOTO JAPAN CLASSIC.

Brooke Henderson, Marina Alex, Gaby Lopez

Group 10 – 11:48 a.m. – 1^st Tee

Brooke Henderson, Marina Alex and Gaby Lopez will play together on day one in Mexico. Henderson and Alex are making their first start in Lorena Ochoa’s event, while Lopez who has been mentored by Ochoa, is playing on her home course for the third time. Lopez is a rookie this season on the LPGA Tour who has seven top-20s this season. Henderson has 13 top-10s in 2016 in addition to two victories on Tour. Alex is in search of her third top-10 of the season.

Christina Kim, Lizette Salas, In-Kyung Kim

Group 12 – 12:12 p.m. – 1^st Tee

Christina Kim, Lizette Salas and In-Kyung Kim are grouped together in the opening round of the Lorena Ochoa Invitational. Kim captured this event in 2014, her last win on Tour and first victory in nine years. She followed that up with a T-8 finish last season. Kim got on a hot streak earlier this season with three top-6 finishes between May and June. Salas is making her fourth start in this event where she has never finished outside the top-19, her best showing coming in a share of seventh in 2013. 2010 champion In-Kyung Kim is the final member of this group and is making her first start in Mexico since 2012. She has two worldwide wins this season after breaking through for her first wins on Tour in years with a victory on both the LET and LPGA Tours in September. She’s coming off a T-10 performance at the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship.
