BOSTON, Feb. 16, 2016 – Tickets are now on sale for the Legends Tour’s Walgreens Charity Classic. The fifth annual event will return to Grandview Golf Course in Sun City West, Ariz., from March 4-6.

Golf fans may now purchase tickets for $10 at participating Phoenix-area Walgreens stores with a savings of $5 per ticket off the gate price when purchased in the store. Tickets at the gate will be $15 per adult each day for the Saturday and Sunday tournament rounds.

Kids 13 and under, as well as all active military personnel with IDs, get in free. Tickets include free public parking at the R.H. Johnson Social Hall, as well as complimentary shuttle service to the tournament admission gate.

The first 75 fans each day will receive a Legends Tour-branded bag. In addition, free sunscreen will be available while supplies last.

“Record-setting crowds attended last year’s tournament rounds on Saturday and Sunday,” said Jane Blalock, former LPGA Tour champion and current CEO of The Legends Tour. “We hope to surpass that attendance record this year, which allows us to support the important work of our local charity partners. It is truly a pleasure to open the season each year in Sun City West.”

Clubhouse gates will open at 8 a.m. each day, with tournament rounds starting at 9 a.m.

A tournament field of 50 Legends of the LPGA (age 45 and over) will tee off in 10-minute intervals, on Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6. The tournament pro-am will be held on Friday, March 4.

In addition to competitive golf, fans may also enjoy access to the Walgreens Healthy Living Expo, a tented area adjacent to the clubhouse showcasing local Walgreens stores, healthy initiatives and free health screenings. Free vendor samples and local business representatives sharing information will also be available at the expo.

The 36-hole event will be the tour’s season-opening tournament, with players competing for a purse of $250,000. In addition, the event will feature a Super Legends Division (age 63 and over) competing for a separate purse.

All ticket proceeds will support official charity partners the American Diabetes Association and Aunt Rita’s Foundation. Representatives from both charities will be on site at the expo to answer questions or to accept additional donations.
