France’s Karine Icher fired a 9-under, 62, to take a one-stroke lead early in the second round over Na Yeon Choi and Haru Nomura.

Icher only needed 23 putts in her bogey-free round which included nine birdies.

She said her second shot was pretty good and stood out in her round of 62.

"Like I said, I made a lot of second shots close to the hole, so made some birdie easier to do. The greens are difficult to read, and to get the right speed with the right slope; so the closer you are, the easiest it is," explained Icher.

"It was a good round. I putted well. I had good wedges. So quite happy.”

With a hot putter, Icher needed to stay in the moment and keep her emotions under control and found her experience helped today.

"By playing on Tour with experience, you know if you start to rush or start to look at the leaderboard or if you miss a shot, like get upset, it's not going to serve you for sure," she said.

"So I tried to play shot after shot, and if I miss a green or if I miss a drive, fine, I can always like do a recovery, and that's what I did.”

Choi went 7-under par, and Nomura went 5-under par, to currently sit in second.
