Olafia Kristinsdottir and KPMG held a charity golf event for a children’s hospital in Iceland this week, with several LPGA Tour players making an appearance on the Nordic island.
Sandra Gal, Vicky Hurst, Tiffany Joh and Gaby Lopez all attended the event in Iceland, which raised money for the hospital where Kristinsdottir’s niece had to spend time as a newborn.
“Together (Kristinsdottir and KPMG) we decided to throw a charity event for a children’s hospital,” Kristinsdottir told LPGA.com. “KPMG offered their clients to play in the event. I invited LPGA players to come and we tried to make it as fun as possible.
“We brought the LPGA players to the Blue Lagoon and a tourist excursion to show our appreciation for being a part of the charity outing.
“Today we handed over the check and Sandra Gal, a KPMG representative, a famous singer in Iceland (Jón Jónsson), my niece and I went to visit the children.”
Although the first time the Icelandic golfer has hosted a charity event, the money raised is sure to go a long way. Take a look at some photos from the event below.
