Lexi Thompson and her PGA Tour partner, Tony Finau, finished the best ball final round with a 6-under par, 66 and an overall score of 21-under at the 2017 QBE Shootout at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Fla. With another solid performance from the pair on Sunday, Thompson and Finau finished in a three-way tie for fourth with the teams of Gary Woodland/Daniel Berger and Brendan Steele/Keegan Bradley.
In 2016, Thompson and partner Bryson DeChambeau finished in a tie for eleventh with Mike Weir and Gary Woodland. In 2006, Annika Sorenstam finished 12th with partner Fred Couples. Thompson and Sorenstam are the only two women to play in the event since it started in 1989.
Steve Stricker and Sean O’Hair won the 2017 QBE Shootout with a total score of 26-under par. The duo held off Shane Lowry and Graeme McDowell by two strokes. Stricker and O’Hair, both past champions at this tournament with different partners, closed with an 8-under, 64 to seal their victory.
