It was a very Happy Valentine’s Day for Brooke Henderson, as the 19-year-old from Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada was shown the love from a handful of new sponsors, including the Canadian Pacific (CP) – also the longtime sponsor of the CP Canadian Women’s Open.

Henderson will wear a CP logo on her shirt starting this week at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open, joining fellow Canadian and 8-time LPGA Tour winner Lorie Kane as ambassadors for the railway.

Her sister and caddie, Brittany – who will also be wearing a CP-branded visor – will host a pro- am on the Monday of the Women’s Open to benefit the Golf Canada Foundation. The tournament, happening August 21-27th, is at the Ottawa Golf & Hunt Club, a course that bestowed Henderson with an honorary membership last year.

The deal with CP was a natural one for Henderson, who has connections to the railway. Some of her family members have worked for CP in a variety of capacities and Smiths Falls, about an hour from Canada’s capital Ottawa, is known as a railway town.

“Being able to wear the CP logo is truly special, and I look forward to celebrating many more victories with CP and my rail family,” said Henderson in an announcement.

Starting this week in Australia, Henderson will also be sporting the MasterCard logo, joining such well-known PGA Tour pros like Tom Watson, Graeme McDowell, and Brandt Snedeker (the latter two are also sponsored by Canadian bank RBC, like Henderson), in that stable.

Henderson is the lone member of the LPGA Tour part of that MasterCard team.

Henderson will also be wearing Skechers Performance – the clothing line from shoe manufacturer Skechers, who she switched to wearing in mid-2016.

Finally, Henderson joins the Rolex team as an ambassador.

Rolex, which sponsors the LPGA Tour’s Rolex Rankings and is involved with many LPGA Tour events in a variety of capacities (like the ANA Inspiration and The Solheim Cup), has many golfers in its stable like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus.

Since Henderson’s breakout year on the LPGA Tour in 2016 – where she won a major, repeated as the Cambia Portland Classic winner, and notched 15 top-10s – combined with her bubbly personality, she has become a highly attractive athlete in Canada for companies to link themselves to, as Henderson has locked in no fewer than 10 sponsorship agreements in the last 12 months.
