Cristie Kerr made the Rolex Rankings Move of the Week with her 20th LPGA Tour victory at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. She jumped four spots from No. 14 to No. 10.

Throughout Kerr’s career, she has not been ranked outside the top 35 in the world. When the rankings were established in Feb. 2006, Kerr entered the rankings at No. 5 and spent 342 consecutive weeks ranked inside the top 10, including a five-week stint in 2010 at No. 1.

A player must accumulate a total of 27 points to qualify for the LPGA Tour Hall of Fame. A win at an official LPGA tournament is worth one point and each LPGA major victory is worth two points. With her 20th career LPGA title, Kerr moves within five points of eligibility for LPGA Tour Hall of Fame. She has recorded at least one win in 12 different seasons, including major victories at the 2008 U.S. Women’s Open and the 2010 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

So Yeon Ryu has spent 18 weeks atop the Rolex Rankings, and with Sung Hyun Park taking this week off on the LPGA Tour off, she has an opportunity to increase her lead on Park with a solid performance in Japan.

Cristie Kerr climbed two spots to No. 5 in the Race to the CME Globe standing with her victory in Malaysia. This year, there is a change to the reset points in the season long race, giving the top-5 earners a chance to win the $1 million dollar bonus with a victory in Naples. After moving into the coveted No. 5 position, Kerr is taking the next two weeks off and will need to sit back and wait to see where she sits heading into Naples.

Sung Hyun Park closed the gap and moved up one spot to No. 2 in standings. She’s now within 237 points of leader Lexi Thompson, after her T-5 finish at last week’s Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.

As part of the change to the season-long race, the top-12 in the standings will have a mathematical chance of winning the $1 million dollar prize. Shanshan Feng moved up five spots and into that top-12 with her runner-up finish in Malaysia. She’s currently No. 9 in the Race to the CME Globe.
