Paging Dr. Shin, Dr. Jiyai Shin!
When Danielle Kang fell asleep stretching and chipped her tooth last week in Singapore, it must have been Shin who received the panicked call. Kang told media about the mishap after carding a 68 on day one at the HSBC Women’s World Championship and said she made a quick call to a dentist on the range before starting her round.
“I broke my tooth,” Kang said. “I fell asleep during stretching. I don't know what's going on. I was stretching out on the floor and next thing I know, I slept 30 minutes.”
Kang must have reached Shin, who helped her friend during her trip this week to South Korea. The pair both took to Instagram to share photos of their visit to the dentist in Incheon, South Korea. The procedure must have been pretty minor with the duo sharing photos of their adventures around town including Kang smiling while dining at a table full of food.
“I broke a tooth, call the dentist on range. It's all good.”
Kang will have another week to recover as she’s not in the field at next week’s Bank of Hope Founders Cup. She returns to the Tour in two weeks at the Kia Classic.
