Thursday, Natalie Gulbis took part in her first event as a member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. The 2002 LPGA Tour rookie visited with the National’s Youth Baseball Academy in Washington, D.C. where she played kickball and baseball with kids in the program. Fellow council members Herschel Walker, Dr. Oz and Mariano Rivera joined Gulbis.
“Now this place is dialed for youth sports and nutrition,” Gulbis posted on Twitter. “Just love what they are doing here at our national’s capital!”
In May, Gulbis was nominated to the council, which promotes healthy living with a balance of physical activity and good nutrition. She also attended the council's first annual meeting in Washington D.C. on Friday.
Gulbis has made eight starts on the LPGA Tour in 2018 including last week's Evian Championship where she missed the cut.
