I joined the LPGA Board of Directors in September 2010, just nine months after Mike Whan was hired as the LPGA’s Commissioner. It has been my honor and pleasure to work with Mike and the rest of the LPGA Board and leadership team as we collaboratively evolved the LPGA from a struggling sports brand to what it is today – a true powerhouse in women’s sports, equality and opportunity.
With Mike now entering his second decade at the helm of the LPGA, I am happy to announce that Mike and the LPGA Board have come to terms on a long-term contract extension. As my tenure on the LPGA Board comes to an end, I could not be leaving this organization in better hands as Mike continues to lead the LPGA to even greater heights.
Mike is sharing a letter with LPGA Members, looking back at his last 10 years and looking ahead at his vision for the Association. I have no doubt that Mike is the right person to lead the LPGA as it continues its mission to empower, inspire and transform the lives of girls and young women through the game of golf.
