Since she joined the LPGA Tour in 2015, there aren’t many players who have played more golf than Brooke Henderson. In fact, she led the Tour in events played in 2016. But despite her busy, globe-trotting schedule, Henderson is also one of the players who makes the most time to give back.

In January, Henderson lent her support to charity events for both Morgan Pressel and Brittany Lincicome in Florida. In May, she returned home to Canada to participate in, for the fourth time, a clinic for junior golfers in Ottawa. In June, she won for the third consecutive year alongside teammates from the PGA Tour, Billy Andrade and Keegan Bradley, at the CVS Health Charity Classic.

Wednesday at Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, Henderson hosted her own clinic in partnership with Skechers, one of her sponsors. Nearly 40 junior golfers were in attendance from Henderson’s nearby hometown of Smiths Falls and Ottawa Hunt. Brooke was joined by her caddie and sister, Brittany, and after the clinic the pair answered questions from the juniors, took selfies and signed autographs. More than $27,000 was raised for charities of Brooke’s choosing - Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Perth and Smiths Falls Hospitals and the Wildlife Fund of Canada.

“Big thank you to everyone who came out today to @OttawaHuntClub to raise money for some great charities!!” Henderson posted on Twitter.

The major champion, who has had the last three weeks off with the LPGA Tour’s break for the Solheim Cup, will return to action at next week’s Indy Women in Tech Championship.
