Dates set for 17th edition of biennial match-play event at Inverness Club
TOLEDO, Ohio, Sept. 9, 2019 – As the 2019 Solheim Cup in Gleneagles, Scotland, approaches, tournament officials announced tickets are now on sale for the 2021 Solheim Cup. Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio will host the best women golfers of the United States and Europe for the prestigious team competition from Tuesday, Aug. 31, to Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, the first time in Solheim Cup history that play will conclude on Labor Day.
“We could not be more excited for the launch of tickets sales for the 2021 Solheim Cup at Inverness Club,” said LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan. “Toledo has been a storied part of the LPGA family for over 30 years, and the community’s overwhelming support for premier women’s golf has been unwavering. Originally created in 1916 by Donald Ross, Inverness Club’s championship course was restored and modernized in 2016 by Andrew Green. The club boasts a prestigious history of championship play, including four U.S. Open Championships (1920, 1931, 1957, 1979), two PGA Championships (1986, 1993), two U.S. Senior Open Championships (2003, 2011) and most recently the 2019 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.
