A look at the equipment Jin Young Ko used to win the 2019 Evian Championship.
The reigning Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year earned her third victory and second major of the 2019 LPGA Tour season. Ko entered the final round of the Evian Championship four strokes off the lead, but a four-under-par 67 on Sunday was enough to finish at 15-under and two strokes ahead of Hyo Joo Kim, Jennifer Kupcho and Shanshan Feng for the victory.
Ko admitted that despite the bad weather on Sunday she felt she played well and was happy with her play.
"I tried to be patient on the course. The weather was bad, raining, and then sometimes thunder, but I thought, 'This is the same condition as other players, so I will try to make a birdie.' Yeah, I had a really great week."
Ko is the first player with multiple major wins in a single season since 2015 and with her win reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings for the second time this season. This was Ko's 15th event of an outstanding 2019 season; winning the 2019 Bank of Hope Founders Cup and 2019 ANA Inspiration while also picking up five other top-10 finishes on the season.
