A look at the equipment Jin Young Ko used to win the 2019 ANA Inspiration.
The reigning Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year can add major champion to her name. Ko played spectacular golf in harsh conditions this week to finish at 10-under par on the Dinah Shore course at Mission Hills Country Club and become the first multiple winner of the 2019 LPGA Tour season; two weeks ago, she won the Bank of Hope Founders Cup. She defeated Mi Hyang Lee by three strokes to leap into Poppie's Pond.
The 23-year-old said it was a tremendous honor to join other great players from the Republic of Korea in winning the ANA Inspiration. She joins Grace Park (2004), Sun Young Yoo (2012), Inbee Park (2013) and So Yeon Ryu (2017) to become the fifth Korean to hoist the Dinah Shore trophy. Ko also became the 17th player to win her first major in Rancho Mirage and the 15th different Korean to win a major, the most of any country other than the United States.
