When it comes to major finishes, the 2015 ANA Inspiration is one to remember.
This Wednesday, April 29th, fans were able to relive the magical ending from four years ago on the LPGA Facebook page with a Facebook Live final-round replay. Viewers watched as Brittany Lincicome eagled the 72nd hole to force a playoff en route to her second major title at the 44th edition of the tournament.
Lincicome’s eagle was a deja-vu moment from six years prior when she made a similar shot on 18, six feet from the pin for eagle and her first ANA Inspiration title.
“I mean, to make eagle on any hole is pretty incredible, and then to do it on Sunday at a major, at this major where I did it in 2009, it’s really surreal,” said Lincicome after winning in 2015. I feel like if you would have bet me all the money in the world to see how many times you could do it, if I went back to the fairway now I probably couldn’t hit that shot again. So like I said earlier, today was my day. Somebody was looking out for me today.”

2020 LPGA Tour rookie Haley Moore also joined an elite group after winning the 2015 ANA Junior Inspiration to secure the final spot as an amateur into the major field. As a sixteen-year-old, Moore was the only one of six amateurs to make the cut. She finished T67.
“It was just so fun,” said Moore in 2015 of her experience. “Every day I met new people, and I just had a great time. Friday was a little nerve-racking, but I was able to get it done to make the cut. So this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, I just told myself go out there, have fun and just enjoy it as long as it lasts.”
