Celine Boutier was born and raised in Montrouge, France, and speaks a romantic French accent that instantly brings visions of Paris and the Eiffel Tower to mind. But especially for this week at the Honda LPGA Thailand, she is happy to embrace her Thai heritage.
Boutier’s parents, Christopher and Jacqueline, moved to France from Thailand, raising Celine and her siblings Christie and Kevin in suburban Paris. Boutier grew up visiting Thailand each summer to see her extended family and even has relatives in the small crowds allowed to visit Siam Country Club, a wonderful sight after no fans were permitted in 2021 due to the worldwide pandemic.
“Any time I have the chance to come back to Thailand I really enjoy coming back,” said Boutier, a graduate of Duke University. “Having my parents and my sister here is even better.”
