Albany, NY. – The 144-player field for the Twin Bridges Championship has been finalized by the Epson Tour. The “Road to the LPGA” makes a one-week stop in the Empire State from July 8-10, at Pinehaven Country Club in Albany, New York. This is the 38th year the Epson Tour has had an event in Albany.
Individuals will compete in a 54-hole, stroke-play format for $200,000 and a winner’s share of $30,000. A cut will be made to the top-60 and ties after 36 holes. Tournament admission is $10 per day and can be purchased at the main entrance of the tournament. Children under 16 are free.
“As the longest running event on the Epson Tour, Albany has produced a storied list of champions and future LPGA stars,” said Epson Tour Chief Business Officer, Mike Nichols. “Last year’s move to Pinehaven CC and the addition of Twin Bridges as title sponsor has elevated the event to a new level and we are excited about what the future holds.”
Eight of the top-10 Epson Tour players will compete for this week’s title, including 2022 champions Lucy Li, Grace Kim, Kiira Riihijarvi, Gina Kim, Gabriella Then, Dottie Ardina and Linnea Strom. 2011 Twin Bridges Championship winner, Sydnee Michaels, and 2021’s second runner-up, Kaitlin Milligan will also tee it up.
“It feels great to go back to Albany,” said Milligan. “I am excited to return to a course I have already played and played well. Finishing in the top 3 last year gave me a boost of confidence, so I’m hoping I can take that into this week!”
An addition to this year’s tournament is the "Concert on the Course", which will take place Saturday at 7:30 p.m. following the conclusion of play at Pinehaven Country Club.
