After 36 holes, Anais Meyssonnier holds the lowest score on the Stage I leaderboard. Meyssonnier shot 2-under par during Friday’s second round, carding five birdies and bringing her tournament total to 11-under at the halfway mark
“It’s reassuring to be well placed with two rounds to go,” said Meyssonnier. “Shadow Ridge is the course I’m most apprehensive about, so this morning I was under a lot of stress. I’m happy with my 2-under even if I could have done a lot better.”
Emily Price and Arpichaya Yubol shot the low rounds of the tournament at 6-under. Price is now 10-under on the tournament, while Yubol is 9-under.
Epson Tour rookie, Kaleigh Telfer, and amateurs Nataliya Guseva and Alessandra Fanali head into the third round at 8-under. Telfer signed for a bogey free 5-under second round. Fanali was also 5-under par on the day, while Gueseva shot 3-under.
“I haven’t had a bogey-free round in a long time,” said Telfer. “So it was nice to eliminate all the mistakes.”
Top scores from Epson Tour members were recorded by Telfer, Brittany Fan (7-under), Ho-Yu An (7-under), Bobbi Stricker (7-under), Maggie Ashmore (6-under), Jessica Welch (5-under), Marissa Kirkwood (5-under) and Beatrice Wallin (5-under).
“I’m just feeling super relaxed and confident, honestly,” said Stricker. “I’m just having so much fun out there, and I can’t wait to get out there tomorrow.”
A total of 106 players head into the third round at even-par or better
