NAPLES, Fla. — The inaugural playing of the Grant Thornton Invitational is on deck this week for both the LPGA and PGA Tours at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Fla. Sixteen teams featuring one player from each tour will battle it out over three days for a $4 million prize fund in the first mixed-team event for both organizations since the 1999 JC Penney Classic. Nine 2023 LPGA Tour winners are slated to tee it up, most notably Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 Lilia Vu, U.S. Women’s Open winner Allisen Corpuz and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda, as are 10 of this season’s PGA Tour winners, including major champions Jason Day, Lucas Glover and Justin Rose.
