THE WOODLANDS, Texas., April 23, 2023 – Lilia Vu is leading in the 2023 Rolex ANNIKA Major Award standings after winning The Chevron Championship at The Club at Carlton Woods in a playoff over Angel Yin. Vu became the first player of the season with multiple victories, after winning the Honda LPGA Thailand to become a Rolex First-Time Winner in February. She became the 21st different player to make The Chevron Championship her first major title and is the second-consecutive American to win the major after Jennifer Kupcho in 2022.
The Rolex ANNIKA Major Award recognizes the player who, during a current LPGA Tour season, has the most outstanding record in all five major championships. Points will be awarded at all five major championships to competitors who finish among the top-10 and ties. In order to earn the award by year’s end, a player must win at least one of the five majors titles.
The winner of the Rolex ANNIKA Major Award will be announced following the conclusion of the AIG Women’s Open and will be honored at the Rolex LPGA Awards at the CME Group Tour Championship.
