Moving Day at the Qualifying Stage of LPGA Q-Series saw the landscape of the top 35 change, with the score needed to qualify moving one shot lower to 3-under. Over the first 36 holes, the cutline to advance to Final Qualifying stayed at 2-under, but as the third round developed, the field started to separate with athletes’ scores following suit. If the 3-under mark remains, it will be one shot than it was in 2023, and it still has the possibility of moving to 4-under, highlighting the depth of the field at Qualifying in 2024.

Amateur Zoe Antoinette Campos leads the 194-player field after 54 holes of play in Venice, Fla. The UCLA senior posted rounds of 68 and 67 over her first two days of competition, following it up with a 6-under 66 in round three. Her round was off to a quick start as the 21-year-old holed out for eagle on her first hole of the day, but she then found a bogey on No. 6 for her first and only hiccup of round three. On holes 8, 9 and 10 Campos rolled in back-to-back-to-back birdies, while adding another circle to the card on No. 13.

“I feel pretty good. I think having two courses is kind of an advantage for me, at least,” said Campos. “I feel pretty good the past three days, and it's just been rolling, and I'm grateful. I know what kind of player I am, and I know what I'm capable of. I think my patience is really what has gotten me here.”

Yana Wilson recently turned professional at the age of 18 after enjoying plenty of success in her amateur career. Before turning pro, Wilson won multiple high-level amateur events, including the 2019 and 2021 Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club, the 2022 U.S. Girls’ Junior and the AJGA portion of the 2023 Mizuho Americas Open. She also earned 2023 AJGA Girls Player of the Year honors because of her consistent and impressive play throughout last season.

During three rounds at the Qualifying Stage in LPGA Q-Series, Wilson has continued to impress, posting rounds of 72 and 73 through her first 36 holes of play, putting her at 1-over for the tournament heading into Thursday. The Nevada native then put together her best round of the week on Moving Day, posting a bogey-free, 5-under 67 to move inside the top 35, putting her on track to compete in Final Qualifying later this year. The round included five birdies, with two birdies on the front nine and three birdies on the back to close out the round. With some stress lifted off the young professional, she now needs just one more solid round of golf to find herself playing for an LPGA Tour card in December.

“It felt pretty relieving, but honestly, I knew I left some out there. I missed a couple of short putts on the back nine, which is unfortunate, but I can't wait to go back to the range and grind on my game afterwards,” explained Wilson, who is currently in a tie for 25th. “The first and second days, I started off kind of rocky, not really making too many birdies and making too many mistakes, which obviously isn't good for trying to get through Q-School. But last night I really analyzed my game and figured out what I needed to improve on, and I did that today.”

Amateur Adela Cernousek holds the second-place spot, giving the top spots to two of only 18 amateurs in the field. Cernousek turned in her second straight round of 66 on day three putting her in prime position to advance to Final Qualifying if she decides to turn professional before heading to Alabama in December. The Texas A&M Aggie won the Individual National Championship in 2024 and could look to repeat if she does no decide to turn pro.

Round four will begin at 7:50 a.m. local time, with the field being repaired in their wave and based on score. There is no cut at the Qualifying Stage of LPGA Q-Series, with all players set to compete for 72 holes.
