Englishwoman Charley Hull and 2019 U.S. Women’s Open winner Jeongeun Lee6 will be both sporting a new look this season on the LPGA Tour as it was announced that both athletes will serve as ambassadors for Malbon Golf, a lifestyle brand inspired by the game of golf founded by Erica and Stephen Malbon in 2017.Hull and Lee6 are the two latest players to partner with Malbon, alongside PGA Tour winner Jason Day who debuted a new look last week at The Sentry, and PGA Tour Champions member Jesper Parnevik. They’ll join 2024 LPGA Tour rookie Gigi Stoll and Epson Tour member Erika Smith as female ambassadors for the brand.
Well-known for her fashion sense both on and off the golf course, Hull often wears bright colors, pleated skirts and oversized scrunchies when she tees it up on the LPGA Tour and favors classic silhouettes and sophisticated accessories when she’s going out on the town. That made Malbon seem like a natural fit for Hull, who appreciates the company’s attention to current fashion trends and commitment to providing its customers with stylish options that easily translate from on the course to off the course.
“It’s great that thanks to brands such as Malbon, women now have the chance to consider fashion when they get dressed for golf. I don’t think that was the case a few years ago,” said Hull. “I think it’s also now possible to look good and be comfortable, especially on the golf course, and it’s even better that you can stay in what you’re wearing when you go out to meet friends post-golf!”

Having two “fashion-conscious” older sisters growing up, Hull has always had an interest in style, but that passion has really come to the forefront in her 20s. Self-describing her fashion as “sporty chic”, she often posts photos of her outfits on Instagram and takes a lot of pride in looking as high-fashion as possible in her day-to-day life, no matter if she’s contending for a major title or attending a pro-am party.
Her fashion inspirations? Former professional tennis player Anna Kournikova Iglesias and “Barbie” star Margot Robbie, who has made plenty of headlines over the past year for her nods to the iconic Mattel doll via her looks on the red carpet.
While Hull will be strutting the fairways this year instead of posing for the paparazzi, she still enjoys curating a look that isn’t just functional but is also fashionable, a need that Malbon will more than serve for the LPGA Tour veteran.
“I like to look sporty but stylish, and I like clothes that accentuate my figure,” said Hull. “Obviously a little less sporty off the course, but I love fashion and like to look equally stylish and hopefully a little bit chic.”
Having partnered with fashion-forward companies like Lacoste, JDX and most recently Anew Golf, a high-end golf clothing brand based in the Republic of Korea, in the past, the two-time LPGA Tour winner was particularly intrigued by Malbon after seeing some of the collabs the brand has done in recent years with companies like Evian and Budweiser, whose logos have been featured in some of Malbon’s designs.
And as golf continues to shift in a more accessible direction with many clubs loosening their grip on the stuffy, strict dress codes that often made the game intimidating to new interest-takers, Hull is looking forward to seeing how the game’s fashion keeps up, an evolution she knows that Malbon will certainly be at the forefront of.
“I’d heard of Malbon and began to be more aware of the clothing over the past year or so, having seen more and more people wearing it and stores opening,” said Hull. “I saw some of the collaborations Malbon (has done), which I thought were pretty cool. I realized then that Malbon isn’t a typical golf brand and that really appeals to me, to be something a little different.”
“With dress codes in golf generally getting more relaxed, hopefully, we can keep introducing more fashion. I know that Malbon will be on it!”
Lee6 first joined the LPGA Tour in 2019 after earning medalist honors at 2018 LPGA Q-Series. She quickly made an impact as a rookie, becoming a Rolex First-Time Winner at the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open at the Country Club of Charleston after defeating So Yeon Ryu, Lexi Thompson and Angel Yin by two shots. The Republic of Korea native also clinched Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year honors in 2019 with five events remaining on the LPGA Tour schedule that season.
Lee6 has recorded 24 top-10 results since becoming an LPGA Tour member and has made $4,421,747 in career earnings. She has six wins on the KLPGA Tour, the most recent of which was in 2018.
The major winner has been familiar with Malbon Golf for quite some time and likes how the brand blends casual and playful street-style fashion with golf to create a unique look that mimics her own style off the golf course. Becoming a part of #TeamMalbon now allows Lee6 to showcase her taste in fashion by wearing clothes that are not only unique and stylish but that also have a relaxed flair that really vibes with her personal aesthetic.
“I like clothes with a very casual and unique design,” said Lee6, who was previously affiliated with Fantom Sports. “It is difficult to dress like my daily fashion on the (course), but as I joined Malbon Golf, I am very excited to be able to play golf while wearing casual design clothes that I like.”
Like Hull, Lee6 is also excited to see a company like Malbon pushing the boundaries of conventional golf fashion and appreciates how the brand emphasizes comfortability and practicality on the golf course in their designs, a trend that she hopes continues to reverberate throughout golf apparel as a whole.
“I have seen so many people wearing Malbon, and I thought all products were so cute. I thought the design was very casual and fashionable, and would fit me very well,” Lee6 said. “Rather than fashion trends, I wish for clothes that are comfortable when playing golf, have pockets for playing golf, and can walk and swing comfortably, even when it's windy or cold are sufficient, for golf.”
