The Buick LPGA Shanghai is the first of four LPGA Tour events that will be contested in Asia over the next few weeks. The 81-player field features past Buick LPGA Shanghai champions Danielle Kang and Angel Yin, as well as nine 2024 winners and three of the top 10 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, including People’s Republic of China native and major champion Ruoning Yin. A share of a $2.1 million purse and 500 Race to the CME Globe points are up for grabs, the latter of which is becoming increasingly more important as players work to qualify for the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship.
