LPGA Tour member Emma Talley has confirmed her retirement from professional golf at the end of the 2024 season. The 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur winner officially announced on the Inside the LPGA podcast that she is stepping away from pro golf and will not be playing a full competitive schedule in 2025.

“I am getting to relax this year. Usually, this is where I spend my off-season to grind and practice, but this year, I don't have to grind and practice because I am retiring,” Talley said on episode 17 of the “Inside the LPGA” podcast. “I kind of have said it a few times here and there, but this is the official, like bye. My last tournament was Hawaii, and it really was surreal. I didn't cry until I got in the car for some reason. But it's been a great eight years of professional golf and 22 years of playing competitive golf.”

While Talley later hinted that she might tee it up in an event or two in 2025, that probability became even more unlikely when the Kentucky native posted on her social media channels on December 24 that she and her husband, Patrick, are expecting their first child next June.

“Christmas came early,” Talley’s post read. “The greatest gift we could have asked for. Baby girl Smith coming June 2025!!”

The 30-year-old has been an LPGA Tour member since 2018 and has collected 10 top-10 finishes, making $1,400,595 in career earnings. Talley made four cuts in 10 total starts throughout the 2024 season, earning one top-15 result after tying for 14th at the Portland Classic in August.

In addition to her 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur victory, Talley also won the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship as an individual in 2015, becoming one of just a few women to ever win both titles in their amateur careers.
