On Sunday, after a two-hole playoff, Jasmine Suwannapura emerged victorious in Rogers, Ark. The Thailand native recorded rounds of 63-72-61 to capture her third LPGA Tour victory at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G and, with it, made the Move of the Week. The Tour veteran jumped 44 spots from No. 110 to No. 66 in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings, the highest ranking of her career since November 2020.

Suwannapura has competed on the LPGA Tour since 2012 and has earned 17 career top-10 finishes in her 12-year career. This was her second playoff appearance, with the first coming in 2018 at the Dana Open, where Suwannapura defeated Brittany Lincicome on the first extra hole.

With her win last week, she became the fifth player from Thailand to win on the LPGA Tour this season, joining Moriya Jutanugarn (Portland Classic), Patty Tavatanakit (Honda LPGA Thailand), Jeeno Thitikul (Dow Championship) and Chanettee Wannasaen (Dana Open).

While Suwannapura's move in the Rolex Rankings was notable, her move in the Race to the CME Globe standings will be more significant as the end of the season nears. Members finishing in the top 80 and ties on the previous season-ending Points List earn full status for the next season. Those who finish in the top 60 of the Race to the CME Globe will also gain entry into the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship. Suwannapura's jump from No. 75 to No. 27 has placed her well inside the top 80 and has also secured her spot in the field at Tiburón Golf Club in November.

Lucy Li on the Rise

Lucy Li came up just short at Pinnacle Country Club, missing out on her first LPGA Tour win after losing to Jasmine Suwannapura in a playoff. But she did jump up 38 spots in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings from No. 116 to No. 78, the highest ranking of her young career.

The 2022 Epson Tour Graduate played spectacularly in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, finishing with an eagle on No. 14, a birdie on No. 15 and an eagle on No. 18 to post an 11-under 60 to break the 18-hole tournament scoring record and best her career-low 18-hole score by four shots and force the playoff.

The 2023 LPGA Tour rookie has had three top-10 finishes this season. In addition to her runner-up result in Arkansas, she tied for 10th at the Blue Bay LPGA and tied for fourth at the LPGA Drive On Championship. Her solo second finish at Pinnacle Country Club moved Li from 60th to 32nd in the Race to the CME Globe standings. She also ranks 54th on the Official Money List, with $583,344 earned this season, and is 39th in the Rolex Player of the Year standings with 20 points.

Mao Saigo Extends Lead for Rookie of the Year

Mao Saigo has extended her lead in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year point standings, leading Jin Hee Im by 78 points after tying for fourth place at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G.

But Rookie of the Year might not be the only award Saigo has a shot at winning this year. After last week in Rogers, Ark., Saigo moved from 15th to 12th in the Race to the CME Globe. While she is over 2,522.768 points behind current leader Nelly Korda, she still has time to make up ground before the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship in November. Saigo also moved up two spots in the Rolex Rankings to No. 36.

Last Push For an LPGA Tour Card

While Fatima Fernandez Cano, Brooke Matthews, Jessica Porvasnik, Lauren Stephenson and Yahui Zhang have each mathematically clinched their 2025 LPGA Tour card through the Epson Tour's Race for the Card, there are still 10 spots up for grabs at this week’s season-ending Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells. With 650 points on the line, the competition is set to be fierce, and the winner is almost guaranteed a card for the 2025 LPGA season.

Jenny Bae put herself in a great position to earn one of the 10 cards up for grabs after capturing her third Epson Tour victory at the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout. The win moved her from No. 25 to No. 7 in the standings with 1191.847 total points.

The University of Georgia alum has five additional top-10 finishes on the Epson Tour this season and is eying one of those coveted cards, as well as the opportunity to graduate to the LPGA Tour in 2025 after just her second season on the Epson Tour.
