This season’s Rolex Player of the Year, Nelly Korda, added a seventh victory to her already impressive 2024 LPGA Tour resume on Sunday at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, winning by three shots at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla. The win makes Korda the first player since Yani Tseng in 2011 to capture seven victories in one season on the LPGA Tour, and she is the first American player to do so since Beth Daniel in 1990.

LPGA Drive On Championship

Korda went eagle-birdie on the last two holes at Bradenton Country Club to tie Lydia Ko at 11-under in regulation at the LPGA Drive On Championship, and she then defeated Ko in a two-hole playoff in her hometown of Bradenton, Fla., to earn her ninth career LPGA Tour victory. It was Korda’s first win on Tour since she captured the 2022 ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican in Belleair, Fla.

FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship

Korda elected to skip the three events that comprise the LPGA Tour’s spring Asian swing, making her next start at the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. At the end of 72 holes in difficult conditions, Korda was tied with Ryann O’Toole at 9-under overall, sending the pair to extra holes to decide a champion at Palos Verdes Golf Club. Korda ultimately beat O’Toole on the first playoff hole at the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship to win her second consecutive LPGA Tour event just outside Los Angeles.

Ford Championship presented by KCC

The Ford Championship presented by KCC saw Korda finally win in a 2024 tournament in regulation at Seville Golf and Country Club in Gilbert, Ariz. She defeated Hira Naveed by two shots to collect her third straight title, something that hadn’t been done since Ariya Jutanugarn won in three consecutive starts back in 2016.

T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards

At Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, Nev., Korda defeated Solheim Cup stalwart Leona Maguire 4 and 3 to win a fourth consecutive 2024 title at the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards. It was another historic victory for Korda, who, with the win, became the first American since Nancy Lopez in 1978 to win four or more tournaments consecutively and was the third athlete in the past 40 years to capture four or more victories in a row, alongside Annika Sorenstam and Lorena Ochoa.

The Chevron Championship

Korda collected her second career major title at The Chevron Championship at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas, in April, her first major title since the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club. It was her fifth straight victory, making her just the third player since 1978 to win in five straight starts on the LPGA Tour, a short list that only included Annika Sorenstam and Nancy Lopez before Korda joined the pair of LPGA Hall of Famers.

Mizuho Americas Open

After her consecutive winning streak was broken when Korda tied for seventh at the Cognizant Founders Cup in May, Korda went right back to her winning ways at the Mizuho Americas Open, picking up her sixth victory of the season and 14th career title at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, N.J., after a gritty, final-round battle with Hannah Green She became the first player since Inbee Park in 2013 to win six times in a single season on the LPGA Tour with the victory.

The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican

After being named Rolex Player of the Year just a couple of weeks prior, Korda collected her third career victory at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican in Belleair, Fla., winning by three shots over Jin Hee Im, Weiwei Zhang and Charley Hull at Pelican Golf Club. Korda’s brother Sebastian was on-site to witness his sister once again make history along with her parents, Petr and Regina.
