Andrea Lee is lurking and looking for her elusive second win on the LPGA Tour through 54 holes at the FM Championship. The 27-year-old has weathered the elements well this week and currently sits four shots off the lead in a share of fourth at 14-under overall.

In a season that has seen 23 different tournament champions thus far, the talent on the LPGA Tour has proven to be remarkably dynamic, with the 2025 winners being a mix of established superstars, dominant international players, impressive rookies and rising young talents.

This year has seen Jeeno Thitikul reclaim the No. 1 spot in the Rolex Women's World Golf Ranking with Nelly Korda hot on her heels each week trying to retake the lead position. There have been 10 Rolex First-Time Winners, six of whom have been rookies, and four of the five major tournaments were captured by first-time major champions.

None of that thrilling unpredictability has been lost on Lee.

"The LPGA is really deep,” said Lee. “There is so much depth now, so many young players from all over the world. Thailand, China, Japan has really seen a lot of growth in the LPGA on their side. You can just see it from this year. We've had, I think, (23) different winners on Tour this year, which is insane. The top players, even Nelly Korda hasn't won this year, which is crazy. She's playing awesome golf and hasn't won.”

However, don't overlook Lee as a potential contender this week, as she has only missed one cut in her 16 starts this season before teeing it up in Massachusetts and earned five top 10s, including a tie for fifth at The Amundi Evian Championship. And now, the Epson Tour winner is currently in a good position for another strong result after posting a third-round 66 in Norton, Mass. to climb inside the top five with 18 holes remaining at the FM Championship.

"I'm really proud of this season so far. Obviously, the goal is to win every week, and I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to that goal, which is always a good thing to see," said Lee after finishing her second round on Saturday morning. "I love being in contention, and I look forward to weekends like this where I have a chance to win a tournament.

"I've had a really consistent season, and I'm really proud of that. I think I've made a lot of progress in the last couple years, and it's nice to see that the hard work is paying off. Hopefully, in one of these tournaments, we'll come out on top. I'm really trying to stay patient and keep playing really solid golf."

After a long day of golf that was marred with three rain delays at TPC Boston on Friday, 72 players, including Lee, left on Friday night still needing to complete the second round. With a lot of golf to play on Saturday, it was tough for every athlete to remain focused and maintain a competitive mindset on day three of the FM Championship, something that Lee acknowledged after finishing her third round.

“Obviously, the tiredness and exhaustion are there, but we still had another 18 holes left to play, so I was just preparing myself for that,” Lee said after completing 32 holes on Saturday. “I still feel the adrenaline rush when I'm out there, so I think that was the only thing keeping me going for the entire third round.”

She also leaned on her consistency to carry her through, as Lee hit 14 of 14 fairways and only missed one green in regulation throughout round three in Massachusetts. She has only made two bogeys throughout the week and is currently tied for seventh in fairways hit (37 of 42), a part of her game of which Lee is incredibly proud.

"I am a pretty good driver of the ball", said Lee, who was first on Tour in driving accuracy percentage (82.75 percent) before the FM Championship. "That helps on courses like this, keeping it in the fairway. Rough is pretty thick out here. To be honest, I wasn't super happy with the way I drove the ball today. They were straight but not really going that far, so I did have quite a few long irons in. Had a couple 4-hybrids into these greens."

But Lee knew she could capitalize if she could find the greens, a strategy that she will continue carrying with her into Sunday’s final round as she works to capture her second career victory on the LPGA Tour.

"I trust myself, trust my game,” Lee said. “I'm a really good approach player, and I just try to hit to the fat side of the green. If there are tucked pin placements, just take the two-putt for par. Par is a great score out here. I tried to minimize as many mistakes as I could and just take the birdies when you could."
