It was an exciting first day in Sin City, but it is much too early to make any winning predictions with a lot of golf still to play. Now that day one of the round-robin group play matches at the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards are complete, fans have been reminded just how thrilling head-to-head competition can be by each of the 32 matchups on Wednesday at Shadow Creek Golf Course.

In terms of interesting matches, Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings No. 1 Nelly Korda was held to a tie as 64 seed Brittany Altomare chipped in for birdie to square the match on the par-5 16th hole, a tie that ultimately held until the pair finished 18. Hyo Joo Kim’s 8-and-7 defeat of Bailey Tardy was the largest margin of victory on Sunday, followed by two 6-and-5 victories that were claimed by Brooke Henderson and Jeeno Thitikul.
