Not often does an LPGA Tour player show up to an inaugural tournament with some history under their belt. But that’s the case for Nataliya Guseva as the LPGA Tour heads to Ivins, Utah, for the Black Desert Championship presented by Greater Zion.

“It was amazing,” said Guseva of her win. “It was my first professional win as well on the Epson Tour. Just in general enjoyed my time on the Epson Tour.

“Super excited for this week as well. We're getting treated here as probably like queens, you know, just having the best time out here. One of the most beautiful golf courses and just, yeah, super excited for this week to get started and going for some beautiful golf.”

Before hosting the best circuit in women’s golf, Black Desert Resort sponsored a tournament of the Official Qualifying Tour of the LPGA, boasting what was at the time, the largest purse in Epson Tour history - $375,000. Nataliya Guseva etched her name into Epson Tour history, taking home the $56,250 winner’s check and moving closer to the coveted top 10 in the Race for the Card rankings.

When the 2023 season concluded, the former University of Miami Hurricane found herself just outside the top 10 by four spots and just over $7,000 away from earning her LPGA Tour card. But that didn’t stop her from pursuing her dream of playing on the biggest stage in women’s golf.

That winter, Guseva teed it up at the Final Stage of LPGA Q-Series, one last chance at a 2024 LPGA Tour card. She was successful, finishing T23.

The 22-year-old saw 21 starts in 2024, making the cut in 14 and earning six top-10 results. So far in 2025, Guseva finds herself in the top 50 of the Race to CME Globe rankings, sitting at 48th. The rank is one of the best for a recent Epson Tour alumnae, only bested by 2024 graduates Ingrid Lindblad (15) and Cassie Porter (44).

Playing in the same state where she earned her first professional win, all eyes will be on Guseva to see if she can walk away with another Black Desert Championship trophy.
