SEOUL, Republic of Korea — Day two of round-robin pool play is on deck for the eight teams competing at the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown. Thursday saw the United States take an early lead in Pool A after the squad won both of their four-ball matches, while the Republic of Korea and World Teams are tied for the lead in Pool B, having each earned 1.5 points in the opening session.

Eight more matches will be played on Friday at New Korea Country Club, as teams face their second opponents in their respective pools. Take a deeper look at one of the Pool A matches that promises to thrill on day two of the 2025 International Crown.

Friday, 10:15 a.m. – Yealimi Noh/Angel Yin vs. Jeeno Thitikul/Pajaree Anannarukarn

The American duo of Angel Yin and Yealimi Noh trounced their opponents from the People’s Republic of China on day one in Korea, beating Yan Liu and Ruoning Yin, 5 and 4. They’ll look to keep that momentum rolling on Friday as they go up against Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul and two-time LPGA Tour winner Pajaree Anannarukarn of the Thailand Team.

Noh and Yin are both competing in their first Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, but they have made a combined four starts as members of the U.S. Solheim Cup Team. Noh played in her first and only Cup in 2021 at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, while Yin has teed it up in the 2017, 2019 and 2023 Solheim Cups, boasting a 5-3-1 record in those three appearances.

According to KPMG Performance Insights, the seven birdies that Yin made in her first match on Thursday at New Korea Country Club was tied for most in the field alongside the Republic of Korea Team’s Haeran Ryu. She and Noh ultimately only needed 14 holes to close out China, and their 5-and-4 margin of victory was the largest of the opening session in Korea, a win that helped the U.S. go undefeated on day one of the International Crown for the first time ever in the biennial team competition.

They’ll be duking it out with Thitikul and Anannarukarn, who won their first match over Aussies Hannah Green and Grace Kim, 1 up, on the opening day of four-ball play in Korea.

Thitikul is the only Thai who has teed it up previously in this event, doing so in 2023 at TPC Harding Park as a member of the victorious Thailand Team alongside Ariya Jutanugarn, Moriya Jutanugarn and Patty Tavatanakit. With her and Anannarukarn’s victory on Thursday, the 22-year-old’s record in the International Crown is now 6-0-0, a fairly remarkable feat considering how few times Thailand participates in match-play competition in any given season.

Anannarukarn was a bit of a late add to the Thailand Team, getting tapped to tee it up when automatic qualifier and major champion, Patty Tavatanakit, withdrew a few weeks before the start of play in Korea.

But she has clearly relished the opportunity to compete alongside one of her closest LPGA Tour friends over the first two days at New Korea Country Club, and the pair will be hoping to reprise their success as partners on day two of four-ball against a formidable American team.
