The LPGA Tour is in Canada this week for the 51st edition of the CPKC Women’s Open, which is being held at Mississaugua Country Club in Mississauga, Ontario. The field is filled with some of the organization’s best athletes, players like 15-time LPGA Tour winner Nelly Korda, Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul, LPGA Hall of Famer Lydia Ko and newcomer Lottie Woad, who has already made a big impact after securing Tour status via the LPGA Elite Amateur Pathway and becoming a Rolex First-Time Winner at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open. They are joined by two-time major champion and the winningest golfer from Canada, Brooke Henderson, as well as 2024 CPKC Women’s Open champion Lauren Coughlin, who will be working to successfully defend her title for the first time in her career this week in Canada.

Thursday, 7:44 a.m./Friday, 1:09 p.m.* – Nelly Korda/Hannah Green/Mao Saigo

Nelly Korda is currently sitting at No. 2 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, having been knocked out of the top position by Jeeno Thitikul following her T36 showing at the AIG Women’s Open. She has made the cut in every event that she has played this year, and while the 15-time LPGA Tour winner has yet to find her 16th career title, Korda has collected five T7 or better results in that span, the most notable of which is the tie for second she recorded at the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally at Erin Hills. And even though she isn’t having the same season she did in 2024 as far as the tallies in her victory column are concerned, Korda is actually performing better in several statistical categories through 13 tournaments in 2025 than she did in that same span in 2024, according to KPMG Performance Insights data. Her scoring average in her first 13 events of this season is 69.87 compared to 70.04, and she is gaining 2.35 strokes total in 2025 versus 2.10 strokes in 2024. Korda’s tee to green performance in 2024 is only .02 shots stronger, as she was gaining 1.64 strokes on the field last year compared to the +1.62 shots she is picking up this year, but the two-time major winner’s putting starts are also improved, as Korda is gaining 0.74 strokes with her putting in 2025, versus gaining 0.69 in 2024. She is leading the LPGA in strokes gained off the tee (+0.98), is second in strokes gained total (+2.35) and is fourth in strokes gained tee to green (+1.62). This is Korda’s sixth start in the CPKC Women’s Open, and she has yet to miss a cut in her five previous appearances in Canada, earning a tournament-best result of T2 in 2022 and never finishing worse than T32.

Hannah Green is looking to turn things around at Mississaugua Country Club this week, as the six-time LPGA Tour winner has missed three straight cuts at The Amundi Evian Championship, the AIG Women’s Open and The Standard Portland Classic in her last three starts. This is her sixth time teeing it up in the CPKC Women’s Open, and the major winner does have some positive experience on which she can lean as she works to get things back on track in this event, having tied for fourth and tied for 14th in her previous two starts in this championship in 2023 and 2024, respectively, at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in Vancouver and Earl Grey Golf Club in Calgary. This is her 14th tournament of the 2025 LPGA Tour season, and outside of those three missed cuts, the Australian has racked up four top-15 finishes, the best of which is a tie for fourth that she posted at the Founders Cup presented by U.S. Virgin Islands in February and the most notable of which Green recorded at the U.S. Women’s Open, where she tied for 12th. With her recent struggles, Green has fallen off a bit in terms of her rankings in several stats categories, but she is still inside the top 20 on Tour in sand saves (11, 53.85 percent) and greens hit from the fairway percentage (19, 80.65 percent).

Mao Saigo became a Rolex First-Time Winner at The Chevron Championship in April and will be working to add to her win count at the CPKC Women’s Open in Mississauga. This is the 23-year-old’s 15th event of the 2025 season, and so far this year, along with her major victory, she has only missed two cuts and racked up six T11 or better results, the most recent of which came at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl, where Saigo tied for 11th, and the best of which is the tie for fourth she posted at the U.S. Women’s Open at Erin Hills in Erin, Wisconsin. She nearly won in Canada as a rookie in 2024, finishing alone in second behind Lauren Coughlin after recording a four-day total of 11-under at Earl Grey Golf Club in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Statistically, Saigo has drastically improved her putting in 2025, now gaining 0.64 strokes per round with her flat stick, which is up from the 0.30 strokes she gained per round in 2024, according to KPMG Performance Insights. She is also ranked in the top 25 in strokes gained total this season, currently sitting at 22nd in that metric (+1.26), and is 24th in strokes gained approach (+0.51). Saigo is additionally tied for 17th both in sub-par rounds (30) and bogey-free rounds (4).

Thursday, 7:55 a.m./Friday, 1:10 p.m.* – Maja Stark/Rio Takeda/Megan Khang

Maja Stark became a first-time major champion at the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally, but she has struggled a bit since collecting her second career LPGA Tour title, missing the cut in four of her last five starts on the LPGA Tour, something she will be working to rectify this week in Canada. This is her first time competing in the CPKC Women’s Open since she tied for 41st at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in 2023, and it’s her 15th tournament of the 2025 LPGA Tour season. Along with her victory, Stark has one other top-10 performance on her resume, a tie for fifth that she recorded at the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards in April. Outside of those two highlights, it’s been a mixed bag of results for the Swede this year, and she will be trying to steady herself with some consistent play in Canada at Mississaugua Country Club. Looking at her season-long statistics, Stark’s putting is the biggest reason for her recent challenges, as she leads the LPGA Tour in three-putts this season with 50, according to KPMG Performance Insights, and is averaging 1.32 three-putts per round, the second-most of any athlete on Tour. But Stark has been driving it rather well in 2025, currently ranking 21st in strokes gained off the tee, picking up 0.53 shots on her competitors with her driving capabilities.

Japanese rookie Rio Takeda has been a picture of consistency this year, making the cut in 18 of her 20 starts ahead of the CPKC Women’s Open, becoming a Rolex First-Time Winner at the Blue Bay LPGA and collecting eight other top-15 results, three of which have come in major championships at the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally (T2), The Amundi Evian Championship (T11) and the AIG Women’s Open (T4). And it’s because of the excellence she has sustained throughout the course of her inaugural campaign that Takeda has been a threat to win in most every tournament in which she has competed this season, despite being considered a rookie. Statistically, according to KPMG Performance Insights data, the 22-year-old is first on Tour in strokes gained tee to green (+2.04), second in strokes gained approach (+1.30) and eighth in strokes gained total (+1.73). She is additionally first in sub-par rounds (50), first in birdies (257), first in rounds in the 60s (33) and currently leads the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year race with 1,005 points. This is the two-time LPGA Tour winner’s first time ever playing in the CPKC Women’s Open, and like Stark, she will be trying to hoist a second trophy this week and break the LPGA’s streak of 22 different winners that dates back to the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.

Megan Khang captured her breakthrough LPGA Tour victory two years ago at the CPKC Women’s Open after defeating former Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 Jin Young Ko in a playoff at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club, a performance she will be working to recreate this week at Mississaugua Country Club. This is her eighth start in Canada, and in her seven previous appearances in this event, Khang has never missed the cut and never finished worse than the tie for 44th she recorded in her tournament debut in 2016, tallying three top-15 results in 2019 (T13), 2022 (T13) and 2024 (T14) along with her first and only LPGA Tour victory. This is her 15th tournament of the 2025 season, and the 27-year-old Massachusetts native has only missed two cuts so far, collecting four top-10 results, the most notable of which was the tie for sixth she posted at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club in Wales in her last LPGA start. Looking at KPMG Performance Insights data, Khang is ranked third in both strokes gained tee to green (+1.68) and strokes gained approach (+1.12) in 2025. She is also tied for second in par-5 scoring (4.58), fifth in greens in regulation (74.94 percent), fifth in ball striking (24) and sixth in driving accuracy (79.46 percent).

Thursday, 1:09 p.m.*/Friday, 7:44 a.m. – Brooke Henderson/Jeeno Thitikul/Lottie Woad

Canadian Brooke Henderson is a past champion of the CPKC Women’s Open, winning the long-standing event in her home country back in 2018. She has yet to find victory lane on the LPGA Tour in 2025, a winless drought that dates back to the 2023 Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, and the 13-time winner is as hungry as ever to finally get it done this week with the support of a loyal local crowd on her side. This is Henderson’s 12th start in this championship, and after missing the cut in both 2012 and 2013, the two-time major champion has gone on to finish inside the top 25 of the CPKC Women’s Open six times in addition to her victory, the best of which was a tie for third that came at Magna Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. This is her 18th tournament of the year thus far, and Henderson still only has one top 10 to show for it, a tie for ninth that came at the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards. She has finished in the top 20 five times, however, the best of which is a tie for 12th that Henderson tallied at the Black Desert Resort presented by Greater Zion. KPMG Performance Insights data shows that Henderson is ranked inside the top 20 of both strokes gained off the tee (15, +0.60) and strokes gained around the green (17, +0.31) this year. She is additionally third in driving and tied for fifth in par-5 scoring average (4.59).

Jeeno Thitikul overtook the top spot in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings after tying for 30th at the AIG Women’s Open and will be making her first start as world No. 1 this week in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This is her 15th tournament of the year, and so far, the Thailand native has earned one victory at the Mizuho Americas Open and picked up seven other top-10 finishes, the most recent of which came at The Amundi Evian Championship in Evian-les-Bains, France, where she ultimately fell in a two-hole playoff to Australian Grace Kim. Thitikul has only played in one previous edition of the CPKC Women’s Open, teeing it up in Canada during her rookie season in 2022 and tying for 56th at Ottawa Hunt and Country Club, a performance she will be working to improve upon at Mississaugua Country Club. According to KPMG Performance Insights, the 22-year-old currently leads the LPGA in scoring average (69.51), strokes gained total (+2.70), top-10 finishes (8), percentage of rounds in the 60s (55.6 percent), par-3 scoring (2.91) and par-4 scoring (3.96). She is also tied for first in putts per green in regulation (1.72), fourth in strokes gained approach (+0.96), fifth in putts made from 10 or more feet (93), fifth in strokes gained putting (+1.04) and seventh in putting from 10 to 20 feet (30.6 percent).

Lottie Woad is making her first start in North America since earning her LPGA Tour card via the LPGA Elite Amateur Pathway after tying for third at The Amundi Evian Championship, a top-three showing that saw her secure the final points she needed to qualify for Tour status via LEAP. After accepting membership, a now-rookie Woad then went out and won in her professional debut on the LPGA Tour at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, doing so by three strokes over Hyo Joo Kim at Dundonald Links. It was her second worldwide victory in a professional golf tournament in 2025, as Woad had won on the Ladies European Tour at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open the week before she teed it up at Evian Resort Golf Club. After becoming a Rolex First-Time winner in Scotland, the 19-year-old Woad then backed that victory up with a T8 showing at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl in Wales, her second consecutive top-10 result in that major championship. According to KPMG Performance Insights, in her last three LPGA Tour starts, Woad has a scoring average of 68.5, is 38 under par, is gaining 3.58 strokes total on her competitors and is making birdie or better 30.1 percent of the time. This is the Englishwoman’s tournament debut in the CPKC Women’s Open and is just her third tournament since turning pro in July.
