JERSEY CITY, N.J. — After back-to-back events in Texas and Utah over the past two weeks, the LPGA Tour is back on the East Coast for the third playing of the Mizuho Americas Open. This event features a unique format in which 24 of the best players on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) circuit will tee it up alongside 120 of the LPGA Tour’s top athletes in their own Stableford competition at Liberty National Golf Club. The LPGA and AJGA fields are both stacked top-to-bottom with some of the biggest names in women’s golf, including Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 and defending champion Nelly Korda and LPGA Hall of Famer Lydia Ko on the professional side and 2024 AJGA Mizuho Americas Open winner Gianna Clemente and Junior Solheim Cupper Asterisk Talley on the junior side. There are 14 LPGA Tour rookies also slated to compete, most notably JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro winner Ingrid Lindblad and Epson Tour alum Kate Smith-Stroh, who earned a spot in the field via the Monday Qualifier.
