Several of the world’s top players have made the trip from the U.S. Women’s Open at Erin Hills in Wisconsin to Galloway, N.J., for the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer. This year’s 144-player field features six of this season’s champions, including Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul and U.S. Women’s Open winner Maja Stark, who collected her second career victory and first major title last week in Dairyland. Fifteen-time LPGA Tour winner Nelly Korda is also set to tee it up, as are six past winners of this event, most notably defending champion Linnea Strom, Canadian Brooke Henderson and former world No. 1 Stacy Lewis. There are additionally 18 rookies playing, two of whom, Rio Takeda and Chisato Iwai, have won tournaments in their inaugural seasons, doing so at the Blue Bay LPGA and MEXICO Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba, respectively.
