Woad earns two points at the Amundi Evian Championship to become the first player to earn status through pathway

EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France (July 13, 2025) – After finishing tied for third at the 2025 Amundi Evian Championship, Lottie Woad has reached the 20 points necessary to be eligible for LPGA Membership through the LPGA Elite Amateur Pathway (LEAP). She is the first player to become eligible through this new pathway.

Woad clinched her final two points after an unforgettable week at the Amundi Evian Championship. She entered the final round in a tie for 19th at -6, five strokes off the lead. Her final round was a spectacular, bogey-free 7-under 64, giving her the clubhouse lead at -13 overall with six groups to go. While she was ultimately passed by winner Grace Kim and runner-up Jeeno Thitikul, Woad’s 13-under 271 is the lowest 72-hole score by an amateur in Evian history, while her final-round 64 is the lowest round ever by an amateur at Evian.

LEAP was first announced in November 2024 as a program that provides top amateur female golfers a new path to LPGA Tour Membership. Through LEAP, female amateurs who accumulate a minimum of 20 points within the set criteria framework in the current year and the previous three calendar years will earn exempt Priority List status on the LPGA Tour, provided they also meet all LPGA Tour Membership requirements.

Since Woad has earned her 20th point on or after July 1 of this year, she has two options. She can accept LPGA Membership for the remainder of the current LPGA season and the following LPGA season. However, she can also defer LPGA Membership until the following season and gain eligibility for the following season only.
