AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Augusta National Women’s Amateur concluded on Saturday at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., and it was ultimately Spaniard Carla Bernat Escuder who held on coming down the stretch to become the first player from Spain to win this event.

Four of the 12 LPGA*USGA Girls Golf alumni who qualified for this year’s tournament advanced to the final round of the prestigious championship after making the 36-hole cut at Champions Retreat, and one of those young talents earned her career-best ANWA finish after posting a three-day total of 7-under throughout the week in the Peach State.
