The People’s Republic of China Team is the eighth seed in the 2025 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, with two members of the squad having previously participated in the international team competition. Meet each of the four athletes who will be representing their native China at New Korea Country Club in the Republic of Korea.

Ruoning Yin

Hometown: Shanghai, People’s Republic of China

Age: 23

Notable: Yin became the second player in LPGA Tour history from the People’s Republic of China to win on the LPGA Tour alongside Shanshan Feng when she picked up her first career victory in 2023 at what was then known as the DIO Implant LA Open. She again joined Feng as the second Chinese major champion later that same season after winning the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club’s Lower Course.

Yin has ascended to No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings and has five career victories on her LPGA Tour resume. She represented China at the 2023 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown at TPC Harding Park, also doing so at the 2024 Paris Olympics at Le Golf National in France.

Yan Liu

Notable: Liu first joined the LPGA Tour in 2023 after graduating from the Epson Tour, what’s the Official Qualifying Tour of the LPGA. She has tallied four career top-10 finishes and 13 top-25 results in her brief LPGA tenure, and two of those top-10 performances have come during the 2025 season in back-to-back starts at The Chevron Championship, where the 27-year-old tied for ninth, and at the Black Desert Championship presented by Greater Zion, where she came in fourth.

Liu has made both a hole-in-one and an albatross since joining the Tour three seasons ago. Her first career ace came at the 2023 Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G on the par-3 14th hole at Kenwood Country Club, and Liu made an albatross during the second round of the 2025 Chevron Championship, holing her second shot on the par-5 8th hole at The Club at Carlton Woods. This is her first appearance in the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown.

Weiwei Zhang

Hometown: Hainan, People’s Republic of China

Notable: Zhang became an LPGA Tour member in 2022 after securing status via the Final Qualifying stage of the 2021 LPGA Qualifying Series. The 28-year-old has earned three top 10s and nine top 25s throughout her career, the best of which is a tie for second that she recorded at the 2024 ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican after posting a four-day total of 11-under at Pelican Golf Club.

This is her first time playing the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown and the first time that she has represented China in this type of international team competition.

Ruixin Liu

Notable: Liu joined the LPGA Tour in 2019 after a stellar 2018 season on the Epson Tour, one that saw her win three times and secure Player of the Year honors after finishing first on the Official Money List with $124,839 in earnings. The 26-year-old has tallied 19 career top-25 results in her time as an LPGA member, four of which are actually top 10s and the most recent of which is a solo third that Liu carded at the 2024 FM Championship at TPC Boston.

This is the two-time Epson Tour graduate’s second appearance in the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, as she also played for China in 2023 at TPC Harding Park.
