The Republic of Korea Team is the three seed in the 2025 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown and will be competing in front of a friendly crowd at New Korea Country Club in the Republic of Korea.

Three of the Korea Team’s members played in the event in 2023 at TPC Harding Park, while one member will be making her International Crown debut this week in her home country. All four athletes combine for 25 LPGA Tour victories, and one of the Korean Team has been ranked world No. 1 and set the record for most career weeks spent in the top position.

Hyo Joo Kim

Hometown: Wonju, Republic of Korea

Age: 30

Notable: The 2025 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown marks Kim’s second appearance in the global team competition, as she made her debut in 2023 at TPC Harding Park. The 30-year-old is one of the 27 different champions the LPGA has seen across 27 official events this season, collecting her seventh career title at the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass after winning in a playoff over Lilia Vu at Whirlwind Golf Club.

Kim is also a major champion, winning The Amundi Evian Championship back in 2014 as a non-member, and she has represented the Republic of Korea twice in the Olympic Games, tying for 15th in Tokyo in 2021 and then tying for 25th last year in Paris.

Haeran Ryu

Hometown: Suwon, Republic of Korea

Age: 24

Notable: This is Ryu’s first time teeing it up in the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown as a representative of the Republic of Korea. The 24-year-old has collected one victory each season that she has been an LPGA Tour member, winning the 2023 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship as a rookie in 2023, taking home the FM Championship title in 2024 and then triumphing at the inaugural Black Desert Championship presented by Greater Zion in May 2025.

Ryu was named the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year in 2023 and has made over $5.5 million in career earnings since joining the LPGA three seasons ago.

Hye-Jin Choi

Hometown: Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea

Age: 26

Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking: 21

Notable: Choi was a member of the Republic of Korea Team at the 2023 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown at TPC Harding Park and qualified for the international team competition again in 2025.

The 26-year-old joined the LPGA Tour in 2022, and while she has yet to become a Rolex First-Time Winner, Choi has tallied 28 career top-10 results and earned 62 top 25s, making over $5.8 million in official money. Eight of those top-10 performances have come this season, the most recent of which Choi carded at the BMW Ladies Championship that was also held in Korea.

Jin Young Ko

Hometown: Seoul, Republic of Korea

Age: 30

Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking: 22

Notable: Ko is a 15-time LPGA Tour winner and two-time major champion, capturing her most recent Tour title at the 2023 Founders Cup and her most recent major win at the 2019 Amundi Evian Championship. She was named the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year in 2018 and is a two-time Rolex Player of the Year, earning the accolade in 2019 and 2021.

Ko won her first and only Rolex ANNIKA Major Award in 2019 and secured the Vare Trophy that same season, an honor given to the athlete with the lowest scoring average at the end of each year on the LPGA Tour. She has competed in two Olympics, tying for ninth in Tokyo in 2021 and tying for 25th in Paris in 2024, and has ascended to No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, holding the position for a record 163 career weeks.

This is her second consecutive appearance in the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, as Ko first competed in this event back in 2023 at TPC Harding Park.
