From the fairways of The Amundi Evian Championship in Evian-les-Bains, France to the greens of the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Championship in Southern Pines, N.C., the LPGA is uniting the pinnacle of women’s golf with the dreams of its future stars this week, connecting major to major across the globe.

While the players competing in France have already made a name for themselves, the next generation is ready and eager to show off their skills at the second annual LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Championship presented by Marie Birdie, which is once again returning to historic Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club in North Carolina this year.

The four-time U.S. Women’s Open venue will be hosting 144 players across three divisions – the Discovery, Futures National and Bell National. All players competing are active members of an LPGA*USGA Girls Golf program and qualified for the event via Tradition Qualifiers, Girls Golf Showcases, exemptions or application.

This championship is the crown jewel of the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf’s One Million MORE Girls campaign, which was launched by the LPGA Foundation in 2023 after the long-standing program reached one million participants. The campaign is dedicated to reaching the next million girls by 2030 and is well on its way to succeeding thanks to the program’s international growth in recent years.

The Girls Golf Championship reflects the global nature of the program as there are 12 international countries represented in the 2025 edition of the tournament, including Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, India, Japan, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Thailand, Venezuela and Wales. There are also dozens of girls from 25 U.S. states set to tee it up. Take a look at just a few players to watch this week as they compete at Pine Needles.

Discovery Division

At just 10 years old, Isabella Miller from Lake Mary, Fla., has already accomplished more than most golfers well older than she. She won the Girls 7 & Under Division at the 2021 First Tee – Doral Jr. Classic by nine shots after carding a 13-over 85. In 2023, Miller won the nine-year-old division at the U.S. Kids Golf Girls Invitational at Paradise Valley in California and also went on to finish T13 at the U.S. Kids World Championship that same year. Returning to Pine Needles this week, Miller is excited to build upon her top-five finish from 2024.

Futures National Division

Allyson Bell of Eight Mile, Ala., holds the special distinction of being the “Millionth Girl” in Girls Golf history. She received this recognition in 2023 as part of the launch of the One Million MORE Girls campaign and was subsequently invited to participate in a celebration at Pebble Beach Resorts where she got the chance to play The Hay course alongside former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Since joining the program, Bell has taken on various leadership roles, both locally as an eLeader and nationally as a member of the Board of Directors.

After winning the Discovery Division in a sudden-death playoff in 2024, Madelyn Dickerson of Debary, Fla., is ready to take on a new challenge in the Futures National Division this year. This should come as no surprise as Dickerson is a player who is consistently looking to test her game on the biggest stages. For example, she has already won two national titles and a world championship on The Junior Tour powered by Under Armour. The Florida native is also a two-time U.S. Kids World Champion. Dickerson even got the chance to set foot on the hallowed grounds of Augusta National Golf Club in 2024 when she reached the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals, ultimately finishing T4.

Bell National Division

Maria Isabella Errichetto of Southern Pines, N.C., is No. 2 in the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour (PKBGT) Performance Index and is No. 115 on the Junior Golf Scoreboard. Errichetto finished second in the Bell National Division at the inaugural Girls Golf Championship. She was one of just three players in the field to finish under par for the championship. As for this year, Errichetto will be entering the week full of confidence after finishing in a tie for second at both The Lanto Junior Championship and the Ben An Junior Championship in June. She is also a member of the Colombian National Team.

Riley Grimm of Pinehurst, N.C., made her hometown proud by winning the inaugural Girls Golf Championship in 2024 at nearby Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club. Grimm managed to hold off Errichetto by one stroke thanks to a clutch up-and-down for par from the greenside bunker on No. 18 for a final-round score of 3-under 69 and a tournament total of 3-under. The reigning Bell National champion is currently ranked No. 1 in the PKBGT Performance Index, No. 164 on Junior Golf Scoreboard and No. 211 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The rising star has competed on the PKBGT since 2018 and has earned countless championship and qualifier victories. Grimm also reached the 2024 Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals, where she won the putting portion of the competition and finished second overall with 20 points.

Anna Wu of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, is 115th in the PKBGT Rankings and the reigning Futures National champion. She was the only player in her division to finish under par in 2024, carding a three-day total of 1-under. The Canadian has the capacity to go low and will be hoping to use her experience last year, one that saw her open her campaign with a 4-under 68 at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club, to propel her to another victory in the 2025 edition of the Girls Golf Championship.
