The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G is being contested this week at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark. The 54-hole tournament has seen a slew of different champions hoist the trophy over the years, many of whom are some of the LPGA Tour’s strongest talents, but there are still several athletes to be paying attention to this week, particularly as the Tour has yet to see a repeat winner in 2025.

Here are three names you might want to add to your list of potential winners of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship as they work to collect their first victories of the year, just down the road from the University of Arkansas.

Sei Young Kim

Republic of Korea native Sei Young Kim is riding a hot hand into the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G at Pinnacle Country Club. In her 17 tournaments ahead of this week, she has collected eight top-15 results, five of which have come consecutively in her last five starts, according to KPMG Performance Insights. Four of the eight top 15s she has tallied in 2025 have actually been top-five showings that Kim recorded at the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer (3), the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open (T3), the FM Championship (3) and the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G (T5).

The 12-time LPGA Tour winner has teed it up in eight prior editions of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship and has collected three top-10 finishes in those appearances, two of which came in back-to-back seasons when Kim tied for third in 2023 and finished solo third in 2024. She has two additional top-20 performances to her credit at Pinnacle Country Club, a pair of T16s that came in 2015 and 2022.

Statistically, Kim is gaining strokes at the moment in every major category on the LPGA Tour this season, ranking highest in strokes gained tee to green (21, +0.99), looking at data provided by KPMG Performance Insights. The 32-year-old is additionally tied for first in par-5 scoring average (4.56), tied for third in par-3 scoring average (2.94) and tied for third in putts per green in regulation (1.74).

Jenny Shin

Jenny Shin has been incredibly consistent throughout the 2025 season, making 15 cuts in 17 starts before competing in Arkansas, but she only has one top-10 finish on her resume this year, something the LPGA Tour winner will be working to change at Pinnacle Country Club.

She has made 14 previous starts in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, and while she has yet to find herself in victory lane, Shin is certainly a horse for this course when it comes to her past results. The 32-year-old has collected six top-15 finishes in this event, three of which have come consecutively in the past three seasons, as Shin tied for third in 2023 and tied for 12th in both 2022 and 2024.

In terms of her year-long statistics, Shin has been fairly strong on the greens in 2025, currently sitting at T20 in putts per green in regulation (1.77) and ranking 21st in strokes gained putting before teeing it up in her 18th tournament of the season. She is also T22 in putts per hole (1.63).

Linnea Strom

While it’s been a lackluster performance from Sweden’s Linnea Strom throughout the 2025 season, last year’s ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer champion is still a dark horse to keep an eye on this week at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G.

This is the Epson Tour graduate’s sixth time teeing it up at Pinnacle Country Club, and in her five previous starts at this venue, Strom has earned four T13 or better results – tying for 13th in 2019, tying for ninth in 2020, coming in second to Haeran Ryu in 2023 and tying for seventh in 2024. She has only ever posted two scores in the 70s at Pinnacle Country Club, and outside of that, she has a scoring average of 66.5 across the 12 other rounds she has completed in Arkansas.

It's also worth noting that Strom became a Rolex First-Time Winner at one of the LPGA Tour’s few 54-hole tournaments, collecting her first career title in New Jersey after carding a 60 in the final round of the 2024 ShopRite LPGA Classic at the Bay Course at Seaview – A Dolce Hotel.

So while she has only made eight cuts in the 20 tournaments in which she has teed it up in 2025, Strom could certainly still do something spectacular this week at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship at a property that clearly suits her eye.
