HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul finished solo second to Charley Hull on Sunday at the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G.

The Thailand native came up just one shot short of her sixth career LPGA Tour victory and second win of the 2025 season after four-putting the par-5 18th hole at TPC River’s Bend, ultimately posting a 4-under 68 to finish with a 72-hole total of 19-under in Hamilton Township, Ohio.

It’s the second consecutive year that Thitikul has come in second in this championship, as she was runner-up to Lydia Ko in the 2024 edition of the Kroger Queen City Championship in its first year being held at this venue. It’s also the second straight tournament in which Thitikul has finished second, as she was runner-up to Epson Tour graduate Miranda Wang just a couple of weeks ago at the FM Championship in Norton, Mass.

The solo second is Thitikul’s 11th top-10 finish of the 2025 LPGA Tour season, which includes the victory she captured at the Mizuho Americas Open in May. It’s also her fifth T2 or better result and her ninth top-five performance in her 17 total starts this year.

And while the world No. 1’s finish just outside Cincinnati, Ohio was certainly disappointing for the 22-year-old, it saw her extend her lead in the season-long Race to the CME Globe to nearly 600 points over 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship winner Minjee Lee, and she is now 19 points ahead of the Aussie in the Rolex Player of the Year point standings.

Thitikul is also tied for first alongside France’s Perrine Delacour in the Aon Risk Reward Challenge (-0.900) and is working to become the first athlete in the Challenge’s history to win the award in back-to-back seasons. She is additionally leading the LPGA Tour with a 69.16 scoring average across 57 tournament rounds in 2025, a year-long performance that has her in hot pursuit of her second Vare Trophy, as Thitikul collected the honor back in 2023.

The five-time LPGA Tour winner’s next scheduled start is the Buick LPGA Shanghai in the People’s Republic of China. Thitikul will then represent Thailand in the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown in the Republic of Korea as her country looks to win the international team competition for a second consecutive time.
