SEOUL, Republic of Korea — The United States Team took on the Thailand Team on Friday at New Korea Country Club in the second four-ball session of the 2025 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown. Neither team made changes to their partnerships from day one, with Yealimi Noh and Angel Yin going up against Jeeno Thitikul and Pajaree Anannarukarn, and Lauren Coughlin and Lilia Vu taking on Chanettee Wannasaen and Jasmine Suwannapura.

Here's how the two matches finished up on day two in the Republic of Korea.

Yealimi Noh/Angel Yin vs. Jeeno Thitikul/Pajaree Anannarukarn

Score: United States wins 5 and 4

Americans Yealimi Noh and Angel Yin once again won their match by the largest margin of the day in the second four-ball session of the 2025 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, trouncing Thais Jeeno Thitikul and Pajaree Anannarukarn, 5 and 4, at New Korea Country Club.

Thitikul and Anannarukarn took the first hole of the match to go 1-up early and then won the par-4 third hole to move two ahead of Noh and Yin. A Yin birdie on the par-4 fifth hole got the Americans back to 1 down, and they tied the match after Yin birdied again on the par-3 sixth hole.

The United States then took a 1-up lead when Noh birdied the seventh hole, winning both eight and nine to climb to 3 up on the Thais. They won 11 to go 4 up on Thitikul and Anannarukarn, extending that advantage to five and closing out their match when Noh birdied 14 to give them the 5-and-4 victory over the Rolex Rankings No. 1 and her two-time LPGA Tour winner partner.

“We started out a little rocky, and then in the middle, we won five holes in a row and then seven out of the last 11, so pretty amazing stats,” Yin said. “I think we really found a rhythm, and we bounce off each other amazingly. I think that really showed up on the score.”

Lauren Coughlin and Lilia Vu also won their Friday four-ball match, giving the Americans four points in Pool A and clinching their spot in the Sunday morning semifinal matches. If they win at least one half-point in the third four-ball session on Saturday, the United States Team will secure the top position in Pool A.

Score: United States wins 3 and 2

United States Team members Lauren Coughlin and Lilia Vu won their second straight four-ball match as partners on day two at the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, defeating Chanettee Wannasaen and Jasmine Suwannapura, 3 and 2.

The Americans took the lead on the par-3 second hole and never relinquished it, winning Nos. 3 through 6 over Wannasaen and Suwannapura to sit at 5 up with 12 holes remaining. The Thailand Team did their best to try and recover from that early rout, winning the seventh hole after a birdie from Wannasaen to get back to 4 down and then winning 14 to get to 3 down.

But after the two teams tied the 15th and 16th holes at New Korea Country Club, the United States won the match 3 and 2 to tally their fourth straight point and clinch a position in the Sunday morning semifinal matches.

“I was basically Lauren's cheerleader on the back nine. She's the backbone of this match,” said Vu, later continuing when asked about this experience compared to her debut in the International Crown in 2023, “I'm having a little more fun this year. I think the weather is nicer. I'm not as cold as I was at TPC Harding (Park). It's nice to see the fans on the first hole and just all have a good time.”
