Rolex Player of the Year

The prestigious Rolex Player of the Year award was introduced to the LPGA in 1966. LPGA Tour players are awarded points at each official LPGA tournament based on top-10 finishes with the top points earner taking home the prestigious honor each year.

1	Nelly Korda	239 points
2	Haeran Ryu*	164 points

*In the BMW Ladies Championship

Nelly Korda leads Haeran Ryu by 75 points, which is the equivalent of being ahead by three wins as 30 points are awarded for a win and 12 points for a second-place finish.

If the point differential remains greater than 60 points following the TOTO Japan Classic, then Korda is projected to mathematically clinch the Rolex Player of the Year after the TOTO Japan Classic with two events remaining.

Seven of the last 10 years the Rolex Player of the Year was determined at the CME Group Tour Championship. Nelly Korda would be the first player to mathematically clinch the Rolex Player of the Year twice before the season-ending event during this timeframe.

Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year

The total points that an LPGA Tour rookie has earned at official events based on finish position.

1	Erika Hara*	539 points
2	Youmin Hwang*	395 points

*In the BMW Ladies Championship

Erika Hara leads Youmin Hwang by 144 points after Hara’s T10 finish at the Buick LPGA Shanghai.

If the point differential is 150 points or less, then the award will be decided at the CME Group Tour Championship. If Hara builds a larger lead, it could happen sooner.

Hwang led the standings for the first 17 events of the season through the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship before Hara moved to the top following her top-15 finish at The Amundi Evian Championship.
