Allisen Corpuz birdied the 18th hole Sunday to close out a 4-under 68 and finish alone in third at the FM Championship, while fellow American Rose Zhang matched her with a 68 of her own to tie for fourth — a finish for the pair that has both feeling ready for the Solheim Cup in two weeks.

Corpuz, who began the day tied for second at 7-under 209, carded her second straight 68 to reach 11-under 277 at TPC Boston, three shots behind winner Ruoning Yin, who closed at 14-under 274. Zhang finished one shot back of Corpuz at 10-under 278, four shots off the pace.

Corpuz opened with a bogey on the par-4 first hole that dropped her to 6-under for the day but answered right away with a birdie at the third. Birdies on the fifth, seventh and ninth holes got her to the turn in 33 at 10-under overall. A birdie on the par-5 12th hole moved her to 11-under before a bogey on the par-4 15th hole pulled her back, and she closed with a birdie on 18 to post her 68 and finish alone in third — an improvement on her tie for fourth at 13-under here in 2024 and a sharp turnaround from her tie for 20th a year ago.

"I think a few players have said it was a little wetter to start the week, and it feels like it finally dried out over the weekend," Corpuz said. "Just a few drives going really far, which I think always brings the fairways in a little. Greens were really firm, still rolling really well. Definitely played a little tougher over the weekend, but really happy with the week."

Zhang, meanwhile, opened the final round tied for 12th at 6-under 210 and turned in 35 after a bogey on the par-5 second hole, offset by birdies at third and seventh holes. She built her charge on the back nine, birdieing holes Nos. 13, 15 and 17 to climb to 10-under before a par on the18th hole sealed her 68 — her best finish at TPC Boston, topping a tie for fifth at 15-under here in 2025.

"This feels incredible. I feel like it's been a long time coming," Zhang said. "I've been working a lot on my game with my team, and just personally I think it's a great confidence booster, especially heading into Solheim. I'm just excited to keep working and keep improving, but I know that the game is there, which is nice to know."

Both players pointed directly to the Solheim Cup when asked what the finish means with the matches now on the horizon. "I'm so excited for Solheim Cup," Corpuz said. "I think it's a top event for me just to be able to play on a team representing your country. I feel like the momentum going into two weeks from now is just on the way up and really excited for the Netherlands."

"It's just nice to know that I can play under pressure. I feel like it's been a while since I gave myself an opportunity to be in the last couple groups, and so to have people watching and to be playing well, especially on top of that, I think it all brings really good energy, especially into the next two weeks," Zhang echoed that sentiment.

Corpuz, a two-time Solheim Cup team member who won the 2023 U.S. Women's Open, said the buzz among prospective teammates has been building throughout the week at TPC Boston, with Zhang right there alongside her.

"I know everyone is really, really excited," said Corpuz. "I think just with Ang being the captain this year, her energy has been so positive and we all want an overseas win really bad. So, yeah, just everyone's just kind of been talking about let's get ready and let's go there to play."

The finish extends a strong season for both. Corpuz has five top-10s in 16 starts, including a tie for fifth at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, along with her solo third this week. Zhang has four top-10s in 14 starts, highlighted by a tie for eighth at the Standard Portland Classic.

Neither has a win this season, but both — each a two-time Solheim Cup veteran from 2023 and 2024 — head to the Netherlands playing their best golf of the summer, with the FM Championship standing as their final tuneup before the matches begin.
