Charley Hull won the PIF Saudi Ladies International on Saturday at Riyadh Golf Club, beating Casandra Alexander and Akie Iwai by one stroke after firing a 65 in the final round to claim her fifth career Ladies European Tour title in Saudi Arabia.

It was Hull’s first LET victory since she won the individual portion of the Aramco Team Series – Riyadh back in 2024, and it’s the 29-year-old’s first worldwide win since she picked up the third LPGA Tour trophy of her career at the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G last September.

But Hull’s latest triumph has some other historic implications, particularly as it pertains to the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

Hull entered the week at fifth in the Rolex Rankings, already the highest-ranked English and British player in the 21-year history of the standings, a record she took from her good friend and major champion Georgia Hall when she moved to No. 5 after beating Rolex Rankings No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul last fall in Maineville, Ohio.

Hull’s win at the Saudi Ladies International has now bumped her up to third in the standings alongside Thitikul (1) and 16-time LPGA Tour winner Nelly Korda (2), what’s the Englishwoman’s first time ever cracking the top three.

Her newfound position is the highest an athlete from the United Kingdom has ever climbed in the Rolex Rankings, three ranks above Hall’s career-best sixth, four positions ahead of Scot Catriona Matthew’s seventh-place ranking and five spots ahead of 22-year-old Lottie Woad, who has already gotten as high as eighth in the Rolex Rankings despite only turning professional in July 2025.

Hull has already made her season debut on the LPGA Tour, finishing in a tie for 17th at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando, Fla., what was her first time playing in the event since 2024. Her next scheduled start is at the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore, an event that saw Hull tie for fourth last season after posting a four-round total of 7-under at Sentosa Golf Club’s Tanjong Course, what’s her career-best result in her seven previous starts in “Asia’s Major.”

The 2026 season marks Hull’s 12th year as an LPGA Tour member, and in addition to her three wins, she is a seven-time European Solheim Cup Team member, a three-time Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown participant and a two-time Olympian, representing Great Britain. She has amassed nearly $11 million in official earnings.
