The 18th edition of the HSBC Women's World Championship, affectionately known as Asia's Major, gets underway this week at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore. The property has hosted the championship since 2013, and this year again features one of the most elite fields in the women's game, with 17 of the top 20 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings set to compete. Here are some of the groups that will be featured during Golf Channel's live coverage of the first round of the HSBC Women's World Championship.

Thursday, 8:47 a.m., 10th tee – Haeran Ryu, Jin Young Ko, Ariya Jutanugarn

Ko won back-to-back titles in Singapore in 2022 and 2023, what was just her second time ever defending a title. Although the former world No. 1 has struggled in recent years, Ko is returning to a place where she can build on her past success as she makes her second start of the season.

She'll tee it up with a fellow major champion in Jutanugarn, who is coming off a tie for eighth last week at the Honda LPGA Thailand, where she made her season debut. Ryu will be looking to build on her stellar start to the year with back-to-back top 10s at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions (T9) and Honda LPGA Thailand (T10).

Thursday, 9:59 a.m., 1st tee - Hannah Green, Miyu Yamashita, Ruoning Yin

As the winner in Singapore in 2024, Green used the victory as a springboard to a breakout season in which she won three times. She's already off to another strong start to the year with a top-10 finish on Sunday at the Honda LPGA Thailand. In addition to her victory at the HSBC Women's World Championship, Green has three additional top 10s, including a runner-up finish in 2021.

Yamashita, the reigning Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year, will hope to build on her success in year one, in which she became a first-time major champion at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl. The rising star from Japan opened her second season on the LPGA Tour with a tie for fifth at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, followed by a tie for 18th last week in Thailand. She was tied for 21st in Singapore in her tournament debut in 2025. Yin is making her third appearance at the HSBC Women's World Championship, where, like Yamashita, she will be looking to build on two top-20 finishes to begin the year.

Thursday, 10:10 a.m., 1st tee - Chizzy Iwai, Minjee Lee, Linn Grant

Iwai nearly picked up her second career win last week with her runner-up finish at the Honda LPGA Thailand. The 23-year-old will make her tournament debut beginning Thursday in Singapore. Unlike her playing partner, Lee is a seasoned veteran who has racked up more top 10s in Singapore than Iwai has made starts, with three top 10s, including two runner-up finishes. Lee is making her season debut at the HSBC Women's World Championship, the same tournament where she has kicked off her year in three of the last four seasons on the LPGA Tour. Grant will be searching for her first top-10 finish at Sentosa Golf Club as the Swede looks to improve on a tie for 32nd last week in Thailand.

Thursday, 10:21 a.m., 1st tee - Jeeno Thitikul, Lydia Ko, Charley Hull

As the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings No. 1, Thitikul not only headlines the field but will be a player to watch as she returns to Singapore fresh off her first win of the season in her native Thailand. Thitikul said the pin locations were tough at Sentosa Golf Club last year, but she still managed to finish in a tie for second, one of four top 10s she's recorded in Singapore. As Thitikul prepares to make her fifth start at the HSBC Women's World Championship, she says the key to her success this week will hinge on her ability to find the narrow fairways off the tee, how much she can limit her time in the thick rough and how well she'll be able to putt.

Ko was able to do all those things well in 2025 as she went on to win the HSBC Women's World Championship for the first time. Ko says knowing she can succeed on this golf course certainly benefits her, but the LPGA Hall of Famer won't change anything this week and plans to leave her course management and strategy the same. The 23-time LPGA Tour winner has enjoyed a strong start to the season with back-to-back top-five finishes in her first two starts of 2026.

Hull has enjoyed her own success to begin the year as she arrives in Singapore off her fifth career win on the Ladies European Tour at the PIF Saudi Ladies International. Hull, who is now ranked third in the Rolex Rankings, picked up her best finish in Singapore in 2025 when she was tied for fourth. The Englishwoman is making her eighth appearance in the HSBC Women’s World Championship.
