The LPGA Tour rolls into its second consecutive week of competition as it heads south of the border for the second edition of the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba. This week, 125 players will compete at El Camaleon Golf Course at Mayakoba for a $2.5 mil purse. Here’s a look at some of the notable groups to watch during the opening rounds of this week’s LPGA Tour stop.

Thursday, 7:36 a.m. CT, 1st tee; Friday, 12:26 p.m., 10th tee - Chizzy Iwai, Linn Grant, Carlota Ciganda

Iwai returns to the sight of her maiden LPGA Tour title where she won by six strokes ahead of Jenny Bae in 2025. Iwai will look to find a spark as she arrives in Mexico off a missed cut at the season’s first major, The Chevron Championship. Like Iwai, Grant found success in Mexico last season when she was tied for fourth in the inaugural edition. Grant missed the cut at The Chevron Championship. Ciganda, who also picked up a top 10 finish in Mexico last season, will look to build off her early season success as she posted a tie for 12th on Sunday at the first major of the year.

Thursday, 8:36 a.m., 10th tee; Friday, 1:26 p.m., 1st tee - Jennifer Song, Maria Jose Marin (a), Bianca Pagdangan

Song will make her first start of the LPGA Tour season in Mexico. Song has been competing this year on the Grass League with teammate Willie Mack III after competing on the Epson Tour in 2025. Jose Marin, the winner of the 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur, received a sponsor invitation to compete this week on the LPGA Tour. The Arkansas Razorback was 12th in her last competitive start at the SEC Women’s Golf Championship. Pagdanganwill make just her second LPGA Tour start of the year as she’s also been splitting her time competing on the Epson Tour. Pagdnangan is returning to Mexico where she recorded her best finish of 2025 with a tie for 26th.

Thursday, 8:12 a.m., 1st tee; Friday, 1:02 p.m. 1st tee - Alexa Pano, Paula Reto, Celine Borge

Pano heads to Mexico in search of her second top 20 finish of the season. Pano missed the cut last year at Mayakoba. Reto got off to a solid start at The Chevron Championship but faded on the weekend. She will look to carry that momentum as she returns to Mexico, where she missed the cut in 2025. Borge will be making her first start since the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro and will look to build off her tie for 42nd last year in Mexico.

Thursday, 12:36 p.m., 10th tee; Friday, 7:36 a.m., 1st tee - Nelly Korda, Akie Iwai, Gaby Lopez

Off her second victory of the season at The Chevron Championship, Korda will look to keep the momentum rolling in Mexico where she is making her tournament debut. In addition to her two wins to start the year, Korda has three runner-up finishes. Iwai, who was tied for 21st on Sunday at The Chevron Championship, enjoyed a solid showing last year in Mexico when she was tied for 16th. Lopez, who serves as an unofficial host of sorts in her home country this week, missed the cut last season in Mayakoba. But Lopez has enjoyed a strong start to 2026 with a tie for fifth at the Fortinet Founders Cup along with a tie for 12th on Sunday at the first major of the year.
