The United States and Europe split four points in Friday afternoon’s four-ball session, leaving the Solheim Cup locked at 4-4 heading into Day 2. It marks the first time since 2002 in Minnesota that the event has been tied after the opening two sessions.

The Americans generated early momentum through Megan Khang and Alison Lee, who made the turn tied with Celine Boutier and Nanna Koerstz Madsen before taking control. Khang and Lee won five of the next six holes to roll to a 5-and-3 victory. The U.S. Team added another half-point when Yealimi Noh and Angel Yin erased a 3-down deficit against Charley Hull and Lottie Woad, leveling their match on the 17th hole to secure a tie.

Europe countered with a strong performance from its newcomers, as rookies Mimi Rhodes and Nastasia Nadaud pulled away to defeat Allisen Corpuz and Auston Kim. The final match of the session went down to the wire between Nelly Korda and Lauren Coughlin of the U.S. and Carlota Ciganda and Julia Lopez Ramirez of Europe. Ciganda sank a clutch putt on the 18th hole to claim a half-point and preserve the overall tie entering Saturday.
